Tom Hansen, a Coast Guard officer, has seen many deaths during his years
of service. Once during a furious storm, his patrol boat receives an
order to inspect a Russian whaler "Spirit of the East", drifting in the
open ocean. Survivors on the ship were not found, it would seem, the
tragedy has already occurred. But the real nightmare is just beginning.
What lurked under the deck in the dark compartments, can change Hansen's
attitude to life and what happens after it ...
